Job Shadow an Industry Professonial

Program Description: Interested in learning more about advanced manufacturing or engineering? Job shadowing provides middle schooler and high school students the opportunity to experience a day-in-the life of an industry professional. Students can find information about nearby job shadowing programs by contacting their local chamber of commerce. We will also update this activity profile with exciting opportunities.

AEDC Engineer for a Day: Engineer for a Day is scheduled for Feb. 22 at AEDC, which will give high school eleventh and twelfth grade students the opportunity to tour the Complex and some of its facilities, as well as spend time with an engineer mentor in an area of their particular interest.

According to the Tennessee Department of Education, "Work Based Learning experiences allow students to collaborate with industry to explore careers that interest them and gain valuable employability skills.
