AutoZone STEM Camp: The AutoZone STEM Summer Camps, co-hosted by the Memphis Library Foundation and the West TN STEM Hub located in the Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis, will be offered to teens in Shelby County in July 2017. AutoZone STEM Summer Camps offer high-school students the opportunity to gain valuable experience, make friends and explore careers. These week-long camps offer hands-on experiences and team activities that will feature engineering problem-solving challenges and robotics activities. Camp STEM: Camp STEM was founded on the principle that students want exciting, challenging, and life impacting STEM experiences. The camp is committed to demonstrating how STEM works in the real world by providing hands on activities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Camp STEM is a teacher operated not for profit based out of Nashville, Tn. with 7 locations in 2016 and increasing in size to 10-12 locations for the summer of 2017. ScienceQuest Camp: ScienceQuest Camp at Adventure Science Center provides a wide range of science enrichment programs for youth in grades K-6, with special programs in the summer for rising 7th-9th graders. Oak Ridge National Laboratory High School Summer Math/Science Institute: The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC)/Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) High School Summer Math-Science-Technology Institute is a two-week summer program that provides high school students and teachers from the Appalachian region the opportunity to work with scientists from ORNL on inquiry-based, applied projects in science, math, and research-related computer technology.
